Cloud Operations Shift Lead

A leading provider of software solutions for the asset finance industry, is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer - Shift Lead to join their team in the EMEA region. As a Shift Lead, you will play a key role in maintaining the availability, stability, and performance of Alfa’s cloud-hosted environments. You will work as a hands-on engineer within the Cloud Operations team, combining strong technical expertise with operational leadership during your shift. You will not only carry out infrastructure and operational tasks directly, but also coordinate, prioritise, and assign work based on requests from Project Teams, while serving as the first point of escalation for incidents and operational issues. This is a shift-based operational role, including evenings, nights, and weekend rotations, providing 24/7 support for mission-critical services. What we’re looking for: Previous experience in a Shift Lead, Engineer-on-Duty or similar operational supervisory role. Experience coordinating and prioritising work, including assigning tasks while remaining hands-on. Experience acting as an escalation point within a support or on-call environment. Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken), particularly when working with Project Managers and stakeholders. Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift rota, including nights and weekends. Nice to have: ITIL Foundation (or equivalent) certification. Experience working within structured operational and change management processes, with a strong process-oriented mindset (e.g. ITIL). AWS certifications (e.g. Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator). Experience managing changes across multiple environments (dev, test, pre-prod, production). Database performance tuning and troubleshooting experience. Experience contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation. What you’ll do: Coordinate, prioritise and schedule operational work based on incoming requests from Project Managers, Clients and Suppliers, assigning tasks within the team and delivering assigned and self-assigned tasks hands-on. Act as the first line of escalation during incidents, leading initial investigation, impact assessment, escalation where appropriate and resolution and providing support as part of the 24/7 shift rota. Support cloud environments running on AWS (including services such as CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.). Execute and oversee infrastructure changes using infrastructure-as-code tooling and the AWS Console, in line with defined processes. Perform and oversee daily operational checks, incident handling, patching and system maintenance in production environments. Maintain a high standard of task administration, ensuring all changes are correctly recorded, tracked and kept up to date. Work closely with the Cloud Change Management team to define and improve processes and operational tooling. Identify, propose and document process improvements where gaps or inefficiencies are identified. Diagnose and resolve common and complex issues by analysing application and infrastructure logs. In this role, you will take ownership of building and scaling Inbank’s consumer marketing presence — strengthening brand visibility and driving the growth of our Pay Later products through smart, resource-efficient initiatives. You’ll work closely with sales, product, and our global marketing team, as well as external partners, to plan and execute impactful campaigns. Own and execute the full marketing scope in Poland as a hands-on generalist across brand, product marketing, PR, content, and partnerships. Build brand awareness through creative, high-impact initiatives and campaigns, while continuously optimizing performance based on data and insights. Lead PR and communications end-to-end, from crafting compelling narratives to securing media coverage, with support from external agencies where needed. Plan and deliver partner marketing activities and cross-sell initiatives in close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Create and manage local content, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including basic design and adaptation of visual assets. Manage external partners, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring efficient budget allocation and strong ROI. Develop and execute the local marketing calendar, including campaigns, initiatives, and events, aligned with business goals. Work closely with the global marketing team, contributing to shared projects, strategy, and best practices. Monitor performance, analyse results, and continuously test, learn, and iterate to unlock new growth opportunities. Contribute to shaping both short- and long-term marketing strategy for the Polish market, staying ahead of trends and identifying local opportunities. Ideally, you would have: Several years of hands-on marketing experience (ideally FinTech/startups), with a strong track record of delivering results efficiently and adapting in fast-paced environments Balance of strategic thinking and execution; ability to own and deliver end-to-end initiatives from problem definition to measurable impact Strong understanding of the Polish market, with solid content, storytelling, and copywriting skills, plus experience in PR, media relations, and agency collaboration Hands-on experience in partnership, content, and growth marketing; able to independently create simple visual/content assets when needed Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to optimisation; comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with high ownership, proactivity, attention to detail.
