Senior Test Automation Engineer

For our client in the banking sector, we are looking for a Senior/Expert Automation Tester who will take full ownership of building and developing high-quality test automation (Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, API, CI/CD) for the team's deliveries.

Senior Test Automation Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the automation setup and take responsibility for its quality over time
• Build and maintain a dependable suite of automated tests
• Be involved across the full cycle - planning what to test, running it, and reporting outcomes
• Keep the framework healthy and continuously improve it
• Work through application code to write focused, effective tests
• Wire tests into the delivery pipeline so they run automatically

REQUIREMENTS

• Real, hands-on depth in automation with a modern browser-testing framework (we use Playwright)
• Confident with JavaScript / TypeScript and able to produce clean code
• At ease reading application source and querying databases to validate behaviour
• Practical experience testing APIs
• Familiarity with continuous integration and automated build/deploy pipelines

NICE TO HAVE

• Curiosity about applying AI to make automation faster and more stable
• Exposure to BDD-style frameworks and other testing tools

WHAT DO WE OFFER ON THIS PROJECT?

• Cooperation based on a B2B contract and rate: 110-130 PLN/hour.
• Hybrid work from Gdańsk or Gdynia (1-2 times a week in the office).
