About the job As Controller at Ana Luisa, you will support the VP of Finance to oversee our accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in day-to-day financial processes. What you’ll be responsible for  Receivables Management: Oversee the receivables process for wholesale operations, ensuring timely invoicing and proper handling. Factoring: Manage the factoring process for wholesale operations and handle any customer exceptions not approved by the factor. Policies & Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Invoice Management: Ensure invoices are sent to the factoring service provider on the same day they are created. Accounts Payable: Reconcile invoices with vendor statements and ensure timely payments to suppliers in compliance with vendor terms. Expense Management: Accurately account for expenses incurred through credit cards and bank transactions, ensuring proper documentation and receipts. Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of company bank accounts to ensure accuracy. Credit Card Reconciliation: Oversee credit card reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 10+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in jewelry, luxury goods, or retail. Strong knowledge of receivables, payables, and expense management. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks), Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. Who You’ll Work With: The Revenue Accounting team of AB is in search of a Senior Accountant to join their U.S. Controller’s organization. The candidate will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting. What You’ll Do: The Senior Accountant will be involved in the monthly close process including preparing and reviewing journal entries, revenue analysis and revenue reporting. This role partners with other departments including Global Fund Administration, TA Administration, AUM Reporting, General Accounting, Billing, Legal and other business units and international counterparts. Prepare journal entries Calculate Investment Advisory related accruals Monitor interface controls Manage user maintained tables and processes Ensure month end closing activities including reconciliations and analysis are performed accurately and on time Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and analytics Prepare monthly and quarterly basis point analytical reviews of all AUM based fees to incorporate into management commentary Accounts receivable aging analysis Collect, analyze and consolidate financial data from multiple sources Respond to internal and external inquiries, ad hoc requests and projects as required Liaise with multiple departments and offices globally to ensure revenues are recognized in compliance with Revenue Accounting policies, procedures and US GAAP What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting Understanding of US GAAP CPA a plus Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and work independently Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability Proficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc).
