Job Title: Senior Endur BA – LNG TradingLocation: Onsite LondonDuration: PermanentPOSITION OVERVIEW:The Senior or Lead Analyst, LNG Business Solutions will help the Director, LNG Business Solutions strengthen Cheniere’s business solutions and processes environment globally with a focus on Cheniere Marketing International LLP in London.Reporting directly to the Director, LNG Business Solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and designing business-critical system solutions, business and IT prioritization and process documentation.This includes working with both the business and IT to ensure the business priorities are being addressed as well as ensuring the business areas are engaged, when necessary, with IT projects and daily activities.The role will also include working with the business groups in end-to-end review, mapping, documentation, and subsequent redevelopment of processes associated with LNG trading, risk and settlement.This includes all processes covering the trade lifecycle, namely; internal and third-party LNG purchases and sales, any associated shipping and voyage operations, hedging and optimization activity, reporting and settlement of all LNG cargoes and associated costs.KNOWLEDGE:The Senior or Lead Analyst, LNG Business Solutions will need to hold prior working experience within an LNG or other energy trading organization, or a Financial Services company with significant activities in energy trading.Experience in commodities shipping is strongly preferred.The candidate should possess an energetic, outgoing, intensely inquisitive nature and possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.A demonstrable awareness and understanding of the commodity trading lifecycle, both physical and financial, including responsibilities of Front, Middle and Back offices, is a prerequisite.The position requires leadership, negotiation, and persuasive skills and the ability to manage and deliver work groups, under tight deadlines in some cases.An expansive thought process, the ability to question the existing status-quo as well as the demonstrable ability to work with multiple personality types is necessary.A strong understanding of current technologies and a data driven mindset is also critical as the role will be responsible for reporting existing KRI’s and developing insightful new measures across the trade life cycle, including sourcing data which may be automated, manually sourced or a combination.Innovative thinking and solution design are critical aspects of the role and are key to delivering value to the business.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Work with the various business departments to ensure their priorities align with current IT deliverables and availability.• Lead project teams to ensure timelines are being met; deliverables are in line with business priorities and solutions remain flexible to evolving future business requirements and not leading to suboptimal development.• Continuously communicate with business partners to understand company priorities and direction and manage expectations.• Continuously communicate with IT to ensure the business is providing the necessary support for prioritized BAU and project work and develop remediation approaches.• Actively identify/design solutions around business inefficiencies, processes and areas of improvement.• Help identify flaws in the existing processes that could put the company at risk; propose feasible solutions to reduce residual business and systems risk.• Communicate with business departments to identify solutions or recommendations to make identified processes and controls more efficient, robust, and accurate.QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):1. Education and Certifications:▪ Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or process orientated study.2. Experience (Essential):▪ Prior experience in the energy industry or related experience.▪ Comprehensive understanding of trading organization set-up e.g. front, middle, back office and associated standard controls.▪ Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience with ION’s Endur ETRM system.▪ Understanding of LNG / natural gas / oil / products marketing activities, including purchase/sales, transportation, storage and financial transactions.▪ Modelling and managing of the above deal types within Endur▪ Understanding of IT development lifecycle (Agile development)▪ Development and implementation of trading related Key Risk and Performance Indicators.3. Skills:▪ Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communications skills as well asinterpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively work with co-workers ofvastly different professional backgrounds as well as external Cheniere counterparties andsuppliers e.g. banks and software vendors.▪ Must be flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with continually changingpriorities. Excellent team player with strong negotiation and influencing skills.▪ Must be proficient in using systems and software such as MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel(including large data analytics and reporting functionality) and ideally Visio and SharePoint.▪ Experience in operating and developing Excel VBA macros is preferred. Macros in this contextare used to assist in data collation and facilitate efficient KRI reporting.▪ Ability to own and execute tasks in an organized and structured manner.▪ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.▪ Team player and inquisitive and innovative nature.▪ Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables in a team and/or independent framework.▪ Understanding database structure, query language, and framework.▪ Strong understanding of IT code management strategies and tools.▪ Python and Microsoft Power Platform experience is preferred.FREEDOM TO ACT:This position requires minimal supervision over work assignments within established processes.Supervision will be required in new and non-standard processes.WORK CONDITIONS:▪ In normal circumstances, this job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to timepressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.▪ In normal circumstances, occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hoursor on weekends.▪ Periodically international travel as business requires.
