This is your chance to help build something that’s not only extraordinary, but a first of its kind.The RoleThe Lead Mobile Engineer will be a foundational technical leader responsible for designing, building, and launching Healf’s consumer mobile applications for both the e-commerce platform and the Healf Zone wellbeing product across iOS and Android.This role demands deep mobile engineering expertise, a product-focused mindset, and the ability to translate complex business and product requirements into elegant, high-performance mobile features that accelerate customer engagement, retention, and conversion, particularly for the Healf Zone membership offering.The Lead Mobile Engineer will work closely with the CTO, Engineering, Product, and Design teams to ensure the mobile application architecture and experience directly supports key business metrics and our future international scaling plans.Where You’ll Make An ImpactMobile Application Development & Architecture• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of the Healf mobile application, ensuring performance, reliability, and world-class user experience across iOS and Android.• Own the mobile development stack, implementing solutions using a combination of React Native for cross-platform efficiency and native OS (Swift/Kotlin) development where required for optimal performance and integration.• Establish and champion architectural patterns for state management, networking, and component reusability to ensure a scalable and maintainable codebase.Quality, Deployment & Operations• Define and implement high-quality development practices, including robust testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E), code reviews, and performance monitoring.• Manage the end-to-end mobile CI/CD pipeline, including automated testing, build processes, and successful deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.• Oversee application performance monitoring, crash analytics, and prompt resolution of production issues to maintain a 5-star user rating.Leadership & Collaboration• Act as the technical expert for all mobile initiatives and mentor junior mobile engineers as the team scales.• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and user stories into technical specifications and a clear mobile roadmap.• Define and enforce best practices for mobile security, data privacy, and integration with third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, wearables, analytics).What You’ll Bring• Mobile Engineering Leadership: 5+ years experience designing, building, and deploying high-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.• Cross-Platform Expertise: Expert proficiency in React Native development, including deep knowledge of bridging native modules and optimizing performance in a hybrid environment.• Native Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write and debug high-quality native code (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android) when necessary.• Mobile CI/CD & MLOps: Strong experience managing the full mobile lifecycle, including CI/CD tools (e.g., Fastlane, GitHub Actions), mobile testing frameworks, and submission/release processes.• Product-Focused Delivery: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product teams and rapidly iterate on mobile features that drive engagement and conversion.Bonus Points If You Have• Experience integrating with AI/ML services or recommendation engines within a mobile application context.• Familiarity with health-tech, wearables integration (e.g., HealthKit, Google Fit), or biomarker data.• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for mobile backend services (MBaaS).• Background working on e-commerce platforms or subscription-based mobile products.Attributes We’re Looking For• Technical Excellence: A strong, hands-on engineer who is obsessed with app performance, stability, and providing a flawless user experience.• Platform Owner: Takes full ownership of the mobile platforms, from architecture decisions to deployment success and post-launch stability.• Customer Obsessed: Focused on how the mobile application can build clarity, trust, and transformation for users in their health journey.• Strategic Execution: Able to balance the need for quick feature delivery with building a long-term, scalable mobile architecture.• Relentless Drive: Thrives in high-growth, mission-led environments and is motivated to define a new category.Why Join Healf• Do your life’s best work: Build something that matters, with a team that moves fast and aims high• Surround yourself with A+ talent: You’ll work with high-performers who care deeply and raise the standard every day• Be a builder: This isn’t a cog-in-the-machine role.
