Bij Insight First bouwen we het fundament onder de groei van snelgroeiende e-commerce merken. We zijn een team van gedreven Analytics Engineers en zoeken een technisch sterke Analytics Engineer. Iemand die het leuk vindt om data op te halen, pipelines werkend te krijgen en te houden, en snapt dat een oplossing in de praktijk vooral betrouwbaar en bruikbaar moet zijn. Je werkt aan alles van API-koppelingen en ETL tot het modelleren van data in SQL. De ene keer haal je data op met een ETL-tool zoals Airbyte, de andere keer bouw je een custom script in Python dat draait op Google Cloud Run en wordt getriggerd via Cloud Scheduler. En als er even minder engineeringwerk ligt, pak je net zo goed SQL-modellering op om data bruikbaar te maken voor dashboards en analyses. Geen dag is hetzelfde: de ene keer onderzoek je hoe een nieuwe API werkt, de andere keer los je een issue op in een bestaande pipeline of werk je een SQL-model bij voor een klant. Je vindt het leuk om dingen goed neer te zetten, maar snapt ook dat een pragmatische oplossing soms simpelweg de best oplossing voor de klant is.  Kortom: jij zorgt ervoor dat data van onze klanten betrouwbaar binnenkomt, goed landt en bruikbaar wordt gemaakt voor analyse. Wie zijn wij? Insight First is het remote data & BI-team voor merken als Pink Gellac, Cloudpillo, Buienalarm en Alpine. Wij halen data op uit 50+ systemen (Shopify, Amazon, Meta, Google Ads, you name it), modelleren de data en slaan deze op in Google Cloud. Het resultaat: een single source of truth (data warehouse), overzichtelijke dashboards en analyses. We investeren veel in nieuwe tools en innovatie zoals conversational analytics, reverse ETL en automations om onze klanten te helpen sneller en slimmer te groeien op basis van data. Ons team bestaat uit nieuwsgierige data consultants & engineers die houden van puzzelen, bouwen en verbeteren. Vanuit ons kantoor bij Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn (met uitzicht op het Ledig Erf 🍻) werken we hybride: de helft op kantoor, de helft thuis. Wat ga je doen Integraties & pipelines: bouwen en onderhouden van API-koppelingen en ETL-flows met tools zoals Airbyte en custom Python scripts op Google Cloud Run / Cloud Scheduler. Troubleshooting & onderhoud: issues in bestaande pipelines oplossen, logs checken, API’s uitpluizen en zorgen dat datastromen betrouwbaar blijven draaien. Datamodellering: waar nodig SQL-modellen bouwen en beheren in DBT en BigQuery, zodat data bruikbaar wordt voor dashboards en analyses. Verbeteren & automatiseren: kijken hoe dingen slimmer, stabieler en efficiënter kunnen, zonder onnodig complex te worden. Werken voor meerdere klanten: schakelen tussen verschillende klanten met elk hun eigen set aan databronnen en vraagstukken. Je werkt in een agency-omgeving waar afwisseling eerder regel dan uitzondering is. Slimme technische oplossingen: af en toe iets bouwen of verbeteren in onze tech stack om het leven van jezelf, collega’s of klanten net een stukje makkelijker te maken, bijvoorbeeld een kleine automation, helper tool of script. Een dag is nooit hetzelfde. Je begint je dag met het uitpluizen van een nieuwe API koppeling die gebouwd moet worden. Je hebt hiervoor een briefing gekregen van een collega en werkt met Claude de mogelijkheden uit en tijdsinschatting uit. Daarna ga je aan de slag met het doortesten van een Cloud Run python script wat je gisteren hebt gebouwd. Het was even puzzelen maar het is gelukt om de data in BigQuery te krijgen én te valideren, yes! Morgen ga je de data koppelen aan de andere sales datasets zodat je collega het dashboard kan afmaken. Eind van de dag komt er nog een foutmelding binnen. Je hebt error handling inmiddels redelijk geautomatiseerd dus er is al een PR voor je klaargezet die je kunt doorklikken. Er was een veldnaam gewijzigd. Hoppa, ook weer afgevinkt. Je werkt meteen ook even je planning bij en schrijft je gewerkte uren (ja, ook dat hoort erbij). What you need to have: A proactive, autonomous, and results-oriented approach to problem-solving. Analytical mind with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong foundation in statistical concepts and techniques: regression, properties of distributions, statistical significance tests, etc. Experience in machine learning and predictive modelling: neural networks, logistic regressions, gradient boosted trees and time series analysis. Good programming skills and familiarity with python and its libraries (pytorch, pandas, numpy, etc.). Competence in data analysis with SQL and pandas. Familiarity with Git.
