Senior Kernel Security AnalystEngagementB2B ContractLocation100% Remote from PolandContract LengthASAP start6–12 month initial contract + strong extension potentialRole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Kernel Security Analyst to join a high-performing kernel security team focused on vulnerability triage, secure patch development, and low-level Linux kernel debugging.This role sits at the intersection of kernel internals, security research, and AI-assisted patch review, supporting rapid, high-quality remediation of Linux kernel vulnerabilities while maintaining strict quality and SLA standards.Key Skills & ExperienceEssential Experience6+ years hands-on experience with Linux kernel engineering, kernel internals, or vulnerability research3+ years experience in C debugging, low-level memory analysis, or system-level debuggingStrong experience with kernel module development and/or kernel patch developmentSolid understanding of secure coding practices, vulnerability patterns, and exploit mitigation strategiesDeep experience using kernel debugging tools such as GDB, ftrace, perf, or similarFamiliarity with kernel.org patch submission standards (formatting, sign-offs, commit messages)Proven ability to work independently on complex issues and deliver high-quality outputs within SLAsStrong written English skills, particularly for technical documentation and patch annotationsMandatory SkillIndustrial AI – Predictive AnalyticsRoles & Responsibilities1. Vulnerability Triage & ClassificationAnalyze and classify Linux kernel vulnerabilities based on validity, impact, and complexityMaintain high triage accuracy with minimal false negativesSupport continuous improvement of triage velocity and backlog reduction2. Patch Development & ValidationDevelop secure, high-quality Linux kernel patches for validated vulnerabilitiesDeliver patches within defined Time-to-Patch (TTP) SLAs for medium-complexity issuesEnsure patches pass automated CI/CD commit checks with a high first-pass success rate3. Kernel Debugging & Regression PreventionPerform root-cause analysis on kernel crashes, memory corruption, and low-level failuresValidate fixes thoroughly to prevent regressions and ensure sandbox stabilityDocument debugging findings and share insights with the wider team4. AI-Generated Patch Review & AnnotationReview AI-generated kernel patches for correctness, safety, and security gapsProvide structured annotations (syntax, logic, security flaws, etc.) to support model improvementMaintain consistently high annotation quality and depth scores5. Collaboration & Process ExcellenceWork closely with the Kernel Security Lead and POD team to meet delivery and quality targetsContribute to improving triage workflows, patch templates, and debugging best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams as required (no direct customer ownership)
