Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Technical requirements interpretation (discussions with end customer)

  • Performing structural analysis and numerical simulations for assigned aircraft components

  • Results interpretation and structural recommendations for integrated product team

  • Support for prototype build

  • Support for engineering and certification tests

  • Analytical methods validation

  • Interface with end customer

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data (FE Models, engineering spreadsheets, structural and validation reports) generated to substantiate assigned components/ assemblies consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Cooperation within interdisciplinary project team (designers, manufacturing engineers, sourcing) in order to develop optimal product

  • Support for Project Leads in building integrated project plans

  • Technical and program leadership for EDC team within given discipline

  • Providing time of completion and hourly budget estimations for assigned tasks for the team

  • Monitor and communicate project schedule and budget

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related

  • Proven practical knowledge in the area of continuum mechanics and Finite Element Method

  • Proven practical knowledge of ANSYS Workbench FEA package

  • Proven practical knowledge of commercially available CAD packages, preferred Siemens NX

  • Experience in vibrational and fatigue analysis for metallic parts

  • Experience in industry on a similar position

  • Knowledge related to industrial manufacturing and assembly techniques

  • Experience in aviation industry and knowledge related to aviation standards will be an advantage

  • Programming skills (Python, APDL) will be an advantage

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Goal orientation, can do approach and creativity in action

  • Excellent English skills (spoken & written)

  • Ability to work with global team members

  • Willingness to travel abroad
