What You Can Expect

The Plant Strategic Sourcing Lead negotiates and manages local agreements and relationships with suppliers of finished medical devices, drives total cost reduction and value-add creation from supply base, ensures excellent delivery service levels while driving inventory reduction and improved supplier performance, consistent with Global and EMEA Commodity Leader sourcing strategies.

How You'll Create Impact

• Lead and manage key supplier relationships to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance

• Work closely with Plant Leads, Category Managers, and cross‑functional teams on sourcing strategies and global initiatives

• Work cross‑functionally with Legal, Marketing, Business Development, Regulatory, Engineering, and Supplier Quality

• Negotiate contracts and support long‑term agreements, pricing, and supply‑chain optimizations

• Evaluate and onboard alternative suppliers to improve cost efficiency and reliability

• Act as the first escalation point for plant buyers and planners

• Support New Product Development projects from a sourcing perspective

• Contribute to annual budgeting with updated standard costs and pricing

• Maintain accurate sourcing data and continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes

• Ensure full compliance with company policies and sourcing standards

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3–5 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management

• Solid understanding of planning/purchasing systems, manufacturing processes, budgeting, and inventory control

• Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• ERP experience required (ability to interpret ERP outputs and translate them into clear action steps)

• SAP R/3 (MM module) is an advantage

• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
