About the Role

My client is building a platform designed to entirely disrupt the North American Real-Money Gaming (RMG) and skill-based competition market. Unlike legacy competitors that rely on casino-style aesthetics and algorithmic luck, their platform is built for the modern gamer. They feature a premium esports aesthetic, 100% transparent skill-based matchmaking. They are building the digital underground fight club for Gen-Z and Millennial gamers. The Role They are seeking a visionary, heavily-networked Chief Marketing Officer to architect and scale our global brand presence. You are not just a strategist; you are a resource magnet. You will bring a formidable "black book" of top-tier talent, celebrity relationships, and agency connections from day one. Your objective is to design and execute multi-million-dollar Go-To-Market (GTM) campaigns, secure high-profile celebrity endorsements, and build a world-class marketing organization from the ground up. You will oversee the directors and managers who execute the daily social, affiliate, and community operations. Key Responsibilities Celebrity Endorsements & Macro-Campaigns: Architect and negotiate flagship endorsement deals with Tier-1 celebrities (e.g., A-list musicians, top-tier athletes, mega-creators). Transition traditional flat-fee sponsorships into deep, platform-integrated partnerships (custom avatars, branded high-stakes tournaments). Resource & Agency Integration: Leverage your extensive, pre-existing relationships with top talent agencies (CAA, WME, UTA, etc.), PR firms, and creative agencies to secure exclusive, high-ROI deals and fast-track our brand visibility. Team Building & Organizational Leadership: Rapidly recruit, structure, and lead a high-performing marketing department. You are expected to bring in top-tier talent (or existing trusted operators) across Social Media Management, Community (Discord/X), Content Production, and Affiliate/Bounty Operations. High-Stakes Brand Architecture: Define and protect the "Winnr Arcade" brand identity across all touchpoints. Oversee the creative direction of massive launch events, such as our "High-Stakes Invitational Launch" featuring celebrity vs. player matchups. Budget & P&L Ownership: Based on the marketing expenses provided by the company, allocate capital efficiently across macro-influencer campaigns, creator bounty programs (user-generated clipping/viral loops), and experiential offline/college activations. Qualifications (The "Must-Haves") Executive Experience: 8+ years of senior marketing leadership (VP/CMO level) in Esports (e.g., 100 Thieves, FaZe), disruptive consumer tech, Web3, or hype-driven lifestyle brands. The "Rolodex": You must come with an established network. You can get top-tier celebrities, mega-influencers, and the managing partners of major talent/creative agencies on the phone immediately. Track Record of Mega-Campaigns: Proven history of designing and executing culturally viral, high-budget celebrity marketing campaigns that directly drove massive user acquisition and cultural relevance. Leadership Depth: Demonstrated ability to build and manage multi-disciplinary marketing teams (internal and external) and hold them accountable to aggressive CAC, LTV, and ROI metrics. Cultural Fluency: Deep, intuitive understanding of modern gaming culture, the creator economy, and how to build cult-like brand loyalty among the 18-30 demographic. Must be located in North America
