SEN Teaching Assistant Skegness

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting on behalf of a 2-form entry primary school, in the centre of Skegness, who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children with SEN and be committed to helping every child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND within the EYFS classroom.
• Assist with the delivery of personalised learning activities and interventions.
• Support the child’s social, emotional, and communication development.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement support strategies.
• Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

• Monitor progress and provide feedback on the pupil’s development.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting, that can be referenced.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting children with SEND.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
