About the Role
<p><strong>Job Title: Quality Technician</strong><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform incoming inspection of materials and goods used in manufacturing to verify they meet required specifications and quality standards.</li><li>Confirm that correct materials are received and review Certificates of Analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Execute performance tests on incoming goods, including air flow, water entry pressure, and filter efficiency tests for raw materials, membranes, and laminates.</li><li>Use quality inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers to measure and verify material dimensions and characteristics.</li><li>Record results of inspection activities in the designated quality data system (e.g., InfinityQS) in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Complete required actions after material disposition is determined, including documenting accept, reject, and hold decisions.</li><li>Support internal product audits by providing inspection data, documentation, and test results as needed.</li><li>Assist with quality management system (QMS) audits by preparing records, demonstrating inspection processes, and responding to audit-related requests.</li><li>Prepare samples for testing and coordinate test submissions for internal stakeholders and external customers.</li><li>Provide data analysis for testing and production data to identify trends, support problem-solving, and contribute to continuous improvement.</li><li>Follow established quality control procedures, work instructions, and testing protocols to maintain consistency and compliance.</li><li>Collaborate with production and quality team members to resolve quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>At least 1 year of experience using quality inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers.</li><li>At least 1 year of experience in material performance testing, including execution of standardized test methods.</li><li>At least 1 year of experience with quality documentation activities, including recording, maintaining, and organizing inspection records.</li><li>Hands-on experience with quality control and inspection processes in a manufacturing or production environment.</li><li>Ability to perform accurate measurements and inspections using precision tools.</li><li>Proficiency with basic Excel data entry for recording and organizing test and inspection data.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing Certificates of Analysis and other quality documents.</li><li>Ability to follow written procedures, test methods, and work instructions consistently.</li><li>Effective communication skills to share inspection results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Quality certifications preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with IATF requirements preferred.</li><li>Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) concepts and their application in testing and production data preferred.</li><li>Experience working within a formal quality management system (QMS) environment is beneficial.</li><li>Ability to support internal and external audits through documentation and process demonstration.</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret test results and identify trends.</li><li>Organizational skills to manage multiple inspection and testing activities simultaneously.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join a large, established organization that offers comprehensive internal benefits and long-term stability. You will work around manufacturing operations and quality testing activities, using precision inspection tools and quality data systems. The environment follows defined procedures and cleanliness standards, particularly in cleanroom areas, and may require adherence to specific gowning or protective attire appropriate for controlled production and testing spaces. Working hours align with production needs and require attention to detail, safe work practices, and collaboration with production and quality teams on the shop floor.</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $21.92 - $27.40/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
