Role Profile

A growing fulfilment & 3PL business is looking to appoint a Deputy Warehouse Manager to support the continued expansion of its UK warehousing and fulfilment operation.

This is a key leadership role within a fast paced, multi-user warehouse environment covering ecommerce fulfilment, B2B and B2C activity, picking, packing, stock flow and client service delivery.

The business is investing in a new facility in Warwickshire, creating an excellent opportunity for an ambitious warehouse leader to join during a period of growth.

You will support the Warehouse Manager with the day to day running of the operation, acting as a strong number two and helping to bring structure, consistency and accountability across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting daily warehouse operations
• Managing resource across a multi user 3PL environment
• Overseeing ecommerce fulfilment, B2B and B2C activity
• Driving picking, packing and fulfilment performance
• Supporting team leaders, administrators and warehouse operatives
• Maintaining strong service levels with key clients
• Managing operational efficiency and cost control
• Helping the site through growth, transition and increased volume
• Acting as a calm, practical and hands on operational lead

Key Skills & Experience

• The successful candidate will have strong warehouse leadership experience within a 3PL, fulfilment or ecommerce environment.
• Experience within fashion, lifestyle, toys or a similar fast moving consumer led sector would be highly relevant.
• You will need to be hands on, practical and comfortable being close to the operation. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk.
• The business is looking for someone calm under pressure, commercially aware and confident managing both people and client expectations.
• Proven people-management skills with demonstrable record of developing staff
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage customers
