About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Jr. Business Systems Analyst to join a growing enterprise technology team. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders and IT to design, improve, and implement enterprise technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value. This role requires a blend of business analysis, systems design, enterprise application knowledge, and emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies. The ideal candidate understands how to securely leverage enterprise data within AI platforms, distinguish between AI-driven automation and workflow automation, and translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Experience with enterprise business applications, AI technologies, process automation, integrations, and business process improvement is highly desired. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements GatheringLead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirements workshops.Gather, document, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements.Analyze current business processes, system workflows, integrations, and data flows.Create functional specifications, process documentation, workflow diagrams, and business requirements documents.Perform process analysis, root cause analysis, and solution evaluations.Translate business objectives into detailed technical requirements for development teams.Assist with business case development, ROI analysis, and solution recommendations.Collaborate with technical teams to estimate project scope, timelines, and effort.Present recommendations and solution designs to business stakeholders.Solution DesignEvaluate multiple solution options based on business, technical, and operational requirements.Design innovative solutions for complex business challenges.Recommend enhancements, new technologies, and system improvements.Partner with developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business leaders throughout the solution lifecycle.Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and user-friendly.Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend technology solutions.Participate in feasibility studies and solution assessments.Testing & Quality AssuranceDevelop testing strategies and implementation plans.Create business scenarios and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.Coordinate testing activities with business users.Validate system functionality prior to production deployment.Ensure enhancements are thoroughly tested with minimal business disruption.Evaluate new application capabilities and recommend adoption where appropriate.User Enablement & SupportDevelop user documentation, training materials, and knowledge resources.Deliver training sessions for business users.Support adoption of new business processes and technology enhancements.Provide ongoing functional support and process guidance.Leadership & CollaborationCoordinate cross-functional activities among business and technical teams.Mentor junior analysts and team members.Promote best practices in business analysis, documentation, and solution delivery.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with resource planning and project prioritization.Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders and technology teams.Governance & ComplianceFollow established IT governance, quality assurance, change management, and project delivery methodologies.Ensure adherence to organizational standards for documentation, testing, and implementation.Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsEducationAssociate's degree or equivalent professional experience required.Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline preferred.Required Experience1+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience within enterprise environments.Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.Strong understanding of enterprise business processes including finance, supply chain, procurement, inventory, or operations.Experience designing and testing enterprise software solutions.Familiarity with AI-enabled business solutions, intelligent automation, or workflow automation platforms.Experience integrating enterprise data with modern AI technologies.Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following: Enterprise AI platformsIntelligent automation and workflow toolsEnterprise application integrationsAPI-based solutionsAI agents or AI-enabled workflow orchestrationEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsBusiness Process Management (BPM) solutionsIT Service Management (ITSM) methodologiesSoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Agile or Waterfall project methodologiesTechnical Skills Preferred knowledge includes: Business Process AnalysisSystems AnalysisEnterprise Application ConfigurationSystems IntegrationData AnalysisAPI IntegrationsBusiness Process AutomationAI-assisted business solutionsInformation SecurityUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)Technical DocumentationChange ManagementMicrosoft Office SuiteProfessional Skills The ideal candidate demonstrates: Exceptional analytical thinkingStrong business acumenOutstanding written and verbal communicationRequirements gathering expertiseProcess improvement mindsetProject coordination abilitiesStakeholder relationship managementTechnical writing skillsRisk assessmentInnovative problem solvingTeam leadership and mentoringTravelOccasional travel (less than 10%) may be required.
