Independent Advocacy Service

Disability Sheffield offers a free, confidential and independent advocacy service for disabled people living in Sheffield. If you are having trouble getting the health or social care services that you need, we may be able to help you.

Information Service

Our disability information service is provided by staff and volunteers who have direct experience of disability, and we have been answering enquiries from disabled people for over a decade. We have also produced a number of Factsheets on a range of topics. If you have a disability related question or you’re struggling to find the resources you need, then we can help.

Sheffield PA Register

The Sheffield PA Register is a website which helps people find suitable Personal Assistants (PAs). Visitors to the website can browse PA adverts, contact PAs, post their own adverts detailing their support needs and browse useful resources.

Further Support

Disabled People’s User Led Organisations(DPLUOs) are organisations run by and for disabled people. They focus is on offering peer support, challenging the ways people think about disability, and uniting disabled voices so they have a stronger, clearer impact right here in our community.
