Location London Salary Competitive depending upon experience About the role We are seeking a Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic Work Winning team in a hybrid role based at our London Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in winning new projects by preparing accurate prime cost estimates for the Electrical components of our bids. Key responsibilities Supporting the Estimating team with Electrical bids and tenders Preparing and submitting prime cost estimates utilising Enterprise Estimating Software Liaising with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues Analysing drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates. Identifying and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options Establishing and maintaining tendering processes and conduct negotiations. Preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors. Supporting and encourage junior team members Monitoring targets and work flow Controlling and organising tender documentation. Tracking and reporting on analytics on a variety of campaigns, internal communications, and social media using varied reporting tools You will be responsible for all your own workload and for looking after the project you are on You will also be required to be making all of your own decisions and will be expected to show initiative. What you will need Skills/ Experience Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor. Proficient in using estimating software packages such as Trimble. Experience in budget/cost planning Advanced skills in Excel. Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
