About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Rotherham from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students and help them achieve their full potential in Mathematics. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners of all abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes achievement
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Support students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills in Mathematics
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student outcomes
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Two school-based references
