Some of these meetings can also be virtual.</span></li><li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Occasional, non-routine last-minute overnight travel for 1-4 days to provide in-person Critical Incident Response services to employees and leaders</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong> </strong></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:darkorange"><em>Key responsibilities may include:</em> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Consult, train, and assist</strong> leadership (managers, supervisors, and union officials) in supporting employees experiencing personal or workplace challenges, enhancing the work environment, and improving employee job performance.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Actively promote</strong> the availability of Employee Assistance services to employees and the work organization.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Conduct</strong> initial assessment and referral, and case management, including employees subject to 49 CFR part 240, part 242, 272, 219, and other regulatory or company requirements.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Manage</strong> client caseload with professionalism and proficiency utilizing electronic case management software.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Oversee</strong> project management of Subject Matter Expert (SME) roles as assigned.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Collaborate</strong> with union and field leaders, human resource managers, independent providers and treatment facilities, and other internal and external entities.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Perform</strong> return to work planning, including case presentation staffing and collaboration with an interdisciplinary medical team.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Develop </strong>workplace substance use prevention strategies and client relapse prevention plans.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Deliver</strong> workplace critical incident support services as needed in response to disruptive events.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Work cooperatively</strong> with labor and management to recruit, select and train union employees to be Peer Volunteers in support of BNSF’s Critical Incident Response program as well as recruiting union volunteers for BNSF’s Operation Stop program for alcohol and drug education and prevention.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Engage</strong> in provider recruitment and development of best practice care for referrals.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Develop</strong> business relationships that promote influence within the Division and across the BNSF System.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Deliver</strong> group training and presentations such as DOT Drug and Alcohol Signs and Symptoms training, New Hire and Department specific Orientation to EAP resources, Peer Support and Operation Stop volunteer training, Resilience training, and other relevant training specific to department and industry needs.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt"><strong>Occasional </strong>telephonic on call rotations for after-hours 24/7 call center emergencies</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:darkorange"><em>The duties and responsibilities in this posting are representative categories to be used in deciding whether to apply for this position.
