Job Title: Transport Admin- 3 months temp
Location: Normanton
Salary: £27,000
Days: Monday to Friday
My client, is looking for an organised and productive Transport Administrator to join their team.
A successful Transport Administrator will have excellent administration skills, the ability to work both independently and within a small team.
The key responsibilities of the Transport Administrator include:
- Support the transport team with daily planning and scheduling activities.
- Liaise with drivers regarding deliveries, collections, route updates, and operational requirements.
- Update and maintain transport records and systems accurately.
- Process transport documentation and paperwork.
- Handle incoming calls and emails relating to transport operations.
- Assist with monitoring vehicle movements and ensuring schedules are followed.
- Provide general administrative support to the transport department.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Requirements of the Transport Administrator:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a transport, logistics, or operational environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers and colleagues.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team.
