SLLP is the South London Legal Partnership, which is a shared in-house legal service for five great South West London boroughs.

I'm actually acting for five different boroughs, so it's very exciting and it's a very unique opportunity.

So there's a resilience that we're able to tap into.

We're able to work across the teams and share resources in order to be able to respond to each authority's needs in an appropriate manner.

Something that people might not know about SLLP is that we retained 100% of our last trainee cohort, and I was fortunate enough to be one of them.

So I've actually come through the apprenticeship program in SLLP, so I've benefited from the opportunity to develop my career professionally.

So it's great to have a legal team and who can work across five boroughs, so they can really draw on the experience from all having those different administrations, different ways of working, and bring that experience into the advice that they can give.

Working for five different boroughs is great fun, but it can also be a great challenge, so we need a leader who will support staff in meeting that challenge and build some really good relationships with our boroughs so they cut us some slack when needed and appreciate all the work we're doing for them to help them serve their residents better.

We would love to have a leader who is collaborative, who understands kind of the potential to be able to bring in fresh ideas, and the team here is really supportive.

If you're thinking of applying, I would say that you would be someone who enjoys a varied day, as no two days are the same.

Someone who's fun as well would be good.
