The Opportunity

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work closely with operational and clinical leaders to drive strategic growth across a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

You will lead commercial development initiatives while providing strategic financial oversight, helping the organisation identify opportunities, improve performance, and strengthen its position within the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the organisation's commercial growth strategy.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and revenue streams.
• Expand services into new markets and sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead strategic planning and support key investment decisions.
• Drive financial performance, sustainability, and business growth.
• Enhance commercial reporting, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
• Lead major procurement exercises, bids, and contract negotiations.
• Provide strategic advice and insight to the Executive Board.
• Lead and develop teams across finance, commercial, contracts, and business intelligence functions.

About You

We are seeking a commercially astute Executive-level leader with a proven track record of delivering growth, transformation, and strategic success.

You may currently be operating as a:

• Commercial Director
• Finance Director
• Strategy Director
• Business Development Director
• Executive Leader within a healthcare or regulated environment

You will bring experience across a number of the following areas:

Commercial Leadership

• Business growth and market expansion
• Strategic planning and execution
• Business development and contract acquisition
• Commercial partnerships and stakeholder engagement
• Service development and innovation

Financial Leadership

• Financial planning and forecasting
• Budgeting and performance management
• Investment appraisal and business case development
• Financial modelling and commercial analysis
• Driving organisational sustainability

Sector Experience

Applications are welcomed from individuals with experience in:

• Healthcare services
• NHS or healthcare commissioning environments
• Independent healthcare providers
• Healthcare consultancy
• Community-based services
• Other highly regulated sectors with complex stakeholder landscapes

Experience working with commissioners, procurement processes, public sector contracts, or integrated service models would be highly advantageous.
