Job Description

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for the group.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Review and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Support the finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the transport and distribution industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a hybrid working model.

What's on Offer

• Salary between £60,000 and £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
