About the role: We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a warm and welcoming early years setting in Northampton. This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children’s first experiences of education, helping to build the confidence, curiosity, and skills that provide the foundation for lifelong learning Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Create a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn. Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, using assessments to inform planning and sharing updates with parents, carers, and colleagues. Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development through encouragement, praise, and positive role modelling. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and senior leaders to deliver outstanding early years provision. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing at all times. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised Early Years teaching qualification. Experience teaching within a nursery or early years setting. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. A creative, proactive, and flexible approach to teaching and learning. An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one. The right to work in the UK.
