We currently have an exciting opportunity as an Estimator/Draftsperson. This role is based at our Invader plant in Mississauga, ON, and reports to the Plant Manager. The compensation for this position is between $59,500 - $74,200 CAD annually, based on experience and qualifications. Job Summary We are looking for an Estimator/Draftsperson to support customer projects by preparing accurate quotes, developing shop drawings, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe and respectful work environment by following all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Collaborate with customers to understand requirements, clarify design details, and address product or quality questions. Gather technical specifications and prepare cost estimates for customer service and fabrication projects. Respond to customer inquiries related to pricing, timelines, product specifications, and order status. Work closely with Scheduling and Production to align project expectations and timelines. Issue and track job orders to support efficient workflow and on-time project completion. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings. Produce and update shop drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD according to customer and certification standards. Prepare change notices for product or process updates. Support design and drafting of machine parts, molds, or related components. Complete administrative tasks related to the role and support other functions as needed. Requirements Diploma or certificate in Design, Drafting, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of design concepts and ability to interpret technical drawings. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem‑solving skills; able to navigate non-routine challenges with sound judgment. Customer-focused approach with patience and professionalism. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
