About the Role
About the role: Justteachers is recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a specialist school in the Skipton area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place. The school provides a highly structured, nurturing and therapeutic environment, supporting pupils with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. There is a strong focus on safeguarding, positive relationships and helping pupils develop safe behaviours and emotional understanding. Key Responsibilities: Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with complex behavioural and emotional needs Supporting the implementation of detailed behaviour and safeguarding plans Working closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads and external professionals to promote positive outcomes and safe behaviours Pre-requisites: Relevant qualifications or experience supporting pupils with complex behavioural or SEMH needs Proven experience working in a 1:1 role within an educational or specialist setting Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management and trauma‑informed approaches The ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow robust safeguarding procedures Two education or school‑based references If you are interested in this role, please apply via the form below.
