<p>We are currently in search of a skilled <strong>Lead Estimator</strong> to take charge of preconstruction and estimation tasks for challenging general contracting projects. This role requires a seasoned professional who can produce precise, competitive estimates while also providing guidance to other estimators within the team.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in <strong>general contracting estimation</strong>, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage numerous bids and deadlines simultaneously without overlooking any critical details. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced construction setting and are eager to contribute significantly to project success from the outset.</p>
<h3>Primary Duties</h3>
<ul>

<p>Create comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction ventures</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to formulate comprehensive project pricing</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Spearhead and supervise estimation efforts for multiple projects concurrently</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior estimators and team members</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Solicit and assess subcontractor and vendor bids</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor expenses</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Identify scope discrepancies, value engineering prospects, and cost-effective approaches</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Collaborate with operations, project management, and leadership teams during preconstruction phases</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Participate in bid assessments, proposal development, and client presentations as necessary</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ensure all estimates are finalized promptly and align with project specifications</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Maintain a thorough understanding of market pricing, construction methodologies, and industry trends</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications & Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Minimum of <strong>10 years of estimating experience</strong> in <strong>general contracting</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>At least <strong>4 years of experience as a Lead Estimator</strong> or in a supervisory estimating role</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Solid grasp of commercial construction practices, materials, and project sequencing</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contractual documentation</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience developing conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong leadership qualities with a knack for managing and nurturing talent</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Exceptional communication, organization, and time management abilities</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Keen attention to detail and adeptness at operating efficiently under tight deadlines</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications</p>
</li>
<li>

<h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3>

<p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $120,000 – $140,000</p>
