About the Role
What You’ll Do as a General Cleaner:
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for all employees and visitors by performing routine custodial tasks and facility upkeep.
Cleaning & Sanitizing: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and ensure all common areas, offices, and restrooms are cleaned and disinfected daily.
Waste Management: Collect and empty all trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
Supply Inventory: Monitor and restock essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and restroom tissue to ensure the facility remains fully prepared for daily use.
General Maintenance: Perform routine facility checks, such as changing light bulbs or reporting larger mechanical issues to management.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean walkways to prevent slip-and-fall hazards, follow all chemical safety protocols (SDS), and ensure the proper use of cleaning equipment.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
Experience: 6 months - 1 year of previous custodial, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the safe handling of cleaning chemicals, the use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and the ability to follow detailed facility floor plans or checklists.
Operational Skills: Proficiency in operating industrial cleaning equipment
Physical Capability: Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
