<strong>Stores Operative </strong><br><strong>Location:</strong> Kettering<br><strong>Hours:</strong> 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday – day shift<br><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Full-time – Permanent<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £25772.88<br><br><strong>Overview</strong><br>We are seeking a proactive and reliable Stores Operative to join a busy stores department within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role within a small team, supporting goods-in, dispatch, and stock control activities.<br>The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Check incoming goods against delivery notes within agreed timeframes</li><ul><li>Book in deliveries and update stock on internal systems</li><li>Pick, pack, and dispatch goods in line with purchase orders</li><li>Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient stores area</li><li>Raise documentation/invoices for outgoing deliveries</li><li>Carry out regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records</li><li>Issue materials to production teams</li><li>Support continuous improvement of processes and workflows</li><li>Assist in producing weekly/monthly performance and stock reports</li><li>Provide support to the cutting department during peak periods or absences</li></ul></ul><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br><ul><li>This is a physically active position, involving manual handling and lifting (within reasonable limits). A good level of fitness is required to carry out daily tasks safely and effectively.</li><ul><li>You will play a key role in ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and smooth workflow across departments.</li></ul></ul><br><strong>About You</strong><br><ul><li>Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role</li><ul><li>Familiarity with inventory systems (e.g. ERP or SAP)</li><li>Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines</li><li>Effective communication and teamwork skills</li><li>Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment</li></ul></ul><br><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong><br><ul><li>A team player with a structured and organised approach</li><ul><li>Someone who can contribute to improving processes and efficiencies</li><li>A reliable and adaptable individual with a positive attitude</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Interested?
