Job Description

• Develop and implement strategies to secure major gifts from donors.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing major donors.
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to secure funding.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising activities with organisational goals.
• Track and report on the progress of major gift fundraising campaigns.
• Ensure donor recognition and stewardship activities are carried out effectively.
• Conduct research to identify new major gift prospects.
• Stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices in the not-for-profit/higher education/education sector.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Philanthropy Manager should have:

• Proven experience in securing major gifts or fundraising in the not-for-profit or education sector.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to create persuasive proposals and presentations.
• Knowledge of donor stewardship practices and fundraising strategies.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Passion for the goals and values of the not-for-profit/education/higher education sector.

What's on Offer

• Salary ranging from £36,000 to £46,000, dependent on the level of experience.
