About the Role
<p><span><strong>Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer<br /></span></strong><strong>Bristol<br />£35,000 – £40,000 per annum + on call rota payment<br />Full-time Permanent</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span>Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established manufacturing operation in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied role supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy production environment.</span></p>
<p><span>The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring everything is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.</span></p>
<p><span><strong>Role and Responsibilities:</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span><span>• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across machinery and site equipment<br />• Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault finding and repairs<br />• Diagnose and repair both electrical and mechanical faults<br />• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems<br />• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects to enhance performance<br />• Undertake occasional fabrication and welding tasks where required<br />• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety standards</span></p>

<p><span><strong>Skills and Experience:</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span><span>• Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role<br />• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities<br />• Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics<br />• Knowledge of control gear, PLCs and 3-phase power systems<br />• Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and reactive repairs<br />• Able to work calmly under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns<br />• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team<br />• Practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in where needed</span></p>

<p><span>This role is working Monday – Friday on a day shift basis, totalling 39 hours per week.</span></p>
<p><span>Monday – Thursday 7.00am – 3.00pm Friday 7.00pm – 2.30pm</span></p>
<p><span>There is an on-call rota – approximately 1 in 4 </span></p>
