<div> <hr /> <h2>Network Engineer (Security &amp; Multi-Site)</h2> <p>Radstock or Livingston (Hybrid &ndash; typically 1 day onsite, usually Wednesday)<br />Up to &pound;55,000 + Benefits</p> <p>A growing, technology-driven organisation is looking to hire an experienced <strong>Network Engineer</strong> to support and evolve its <strong>multi-site network infrastructure</strong>, with a strong focus on <strong>network security, resilience, and modernisation</strong>.</p> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is actively positioning itself as a <strong>technology-led organisation</strong>, investing in infrastructure and driving forward new capabilities across its network estate.</p> <hr /> <h3>The Role</h3> <p>You&rsquo;ll play a key role in managing and enhancing a <strong>complex, multi-site network environment</strong>, ensuring consistency, performance, and security across locations.</p> <p>There is a strong focus on <strong>network security appliances, switching, and infrastructure standardisation</strong>, with ongoing work to ensure <strong>sites mirror each other</strong> and operate as a resilient, scalable platform.</p> <p>You&rsquo;ll also be involved in <strong>driving new technologies forward</strong>, with exposure to automation and modern network tooling.</p> <hr /> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Manage and support <strong>Fortigate firewalls</strong> in clustered environments</li> <li>Administer and optimise <strong>network security appliances</strong> (Fortigate, WatchGuard, Check Point)</li> <li>Support <strong>multi-site network architecture</strong>, ensuring consistency across locations</li> <li>Work across <strong>Layer 1&ndash;3 networking</strong>, including fibre infrastructure</li> <li>Manage <strong>VLANs and network segmentation</strong> across the environment</li> <li>Support <strong>switching infrastructure</strong> and configuration deployment (including IMC)</li> <li>Work with <strong>wireless technologies (Aruba)</strong> and associated management platforms</li> <li>Contribute to <strong>network monitoring, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives</strong></li> <li>Support the evolution of <strong>security tooling</strong>, including Sentinel integration</li> <li>Drive forward <strong>automation and standardisation across the network estate</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>Key Skills &amp; Experience</h3> <ul> <li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Fortinet / Fortigate firewalls (essential)</strong></li> <li>Proven experience working with <strong>network security appliances</strong></li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>switching and routing (L1, L2, L3)</strong></li> <li>Experience managing <strong>VLANs, segmentation, and multi-site networks</strong></li> <li>Exposure to <strong>WatchGuard and/or Check Point environments</strong></li> <li>Experience with <strong>Aruba networking and wireless solutions</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>network security principles and best practices</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>Desirable Experience</h3> <ul> <li>Exposure to <strong>network automation or configuration deployment tools</strong></li> <li>Understanding of <strong>Microsoft Sentinel or similar security platforms</strong></li> <li>Experience working in <strong>high-availability or mirrored site environments</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>Environment &amp; Team</h3> <ul> <li>Multi-site infrastructure across <strong>Radstock and Livingston</strong></li> <li>Opportunity to play a key role in <strong>modernising and standardising the estate</strong></li> <li>Collaborative environment with a strong focus on <strong>technical progression</strong></li> <li>Business with clear ambition to become a <strong>market-leading technology organisation</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>What&rsquo;s on Offer</h3> <ul> <li>Salary up to <strong>&pound;55,000</strong></li> <li><strong>25 days holiday + bank holidays</strong></li> <li>Pension contribution</li> <li>Employee Assistance Programme</li> <li>Flexible hybrid working (typically <strong>1 day per week onsite</strong>)</li> <li>Exposure to modern technologies and <strong>ongoing infrastructure investment</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>Additional Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>Must be eligible for <strong>SC Clearance</strong></li> </ul> <hr /> <h3>Ideal Background</h3> <p>You&rsquo;ll likely be a <strong>Network Engineer with strong security experience</strong>, comfortable operating across <strong>firewalls, switching, and multi-site environments</strong>, and looking for a role where you can <strong>help shape and modernise a growing network estate</strong>.</p> </div> <p>, </p>
