Accounts Assistant

Finance Assistant Tiverton £28,000 - £30,000 Hybrid We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join an established accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a supportive and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with month-end procedures, including: Preparing and posting journals Bank reconciliations Assisting with accruals and prepayments Supporting management accounts preparation Managing the purchase ledger, including: Processing high volumes of supplier invoices Matching, batching and coding invoices Supplier statement reconciliations Handling supplier queries Preparing payment runs Assisting with sales ledger and credit control as required Supporting audits and year-end processes Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records About You: Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (essential) Strong purchase ledger experience Good understanding of month-end processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Excel and accounting software Strong organisational and communication skills AAT qualified or studying (desirable but not essential) What We Offer: Competitive salary depending on experience Study support (if applicable) Friendly and supportive working environment Career development opportunities Hybrid working options - not remote If you are proactive, reliable, and eager to grow within finance, we would love to hear from you.
