Technician Apprenticeship Program — Malta, NY and Essex Junction, VT
GF is proud to offer full-time employment in the GF Technician Apprenticeship program at our headquarters in Malta, NY and our fab in Essex Junction, VT. This unique opportunity allows employees to learn and grow their career towards a Technician role and beyond while working in the field. No previous semiconductor industry experience or formal higher education is required. This opportunity allows you to learn more about the semiconductor industry while gaining credits toward an Associate Degree.
GF is looking for strong team players with mechanical aptitude, who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
As an employee, you’ll support routine operational processes and equipment needs. This includes preventative maintenance on equipment, assisting and monitoring tool performance, qualifying toolsets and participating in continuous improvement processes.

Technician Apprenticeship Program – Dresden, Germany
GF is proud to offer a 3.5-year GF Technician Apprenticeship program at our Dresden, Germany site. As host to one of the most modern and efficient semiconductor factories in the world with the largest clean room in Europe, our Dresden Fab offers a range of roles under the apprenticeship program including Mechatronics Technician, Microtechnologist, Electronics Technicians, Laboratory Assistants and Chemical Technicians.
As an apprentice, you will get to be part of the action where we manufacture the products of the future with our cutting-edge technology. In addition to attaining theoretical specialist knowledge, you will also learn all the practical tips and tricks in our state-of-the-art laboratories and our training workshop.

Work-Study Degree and Work-Study Diploma Programs – Singapore
As part of our continued workforce development efforts, the GF Singapore site offers a range of programs to students looking to gain real-world working experience in a world-class semiconductor fab while balancing their academic requirements. Under these programs, students get a glimpse into the dynamic world of semiconductor manufacturing, gaining crucial on-the-job experience while developing practical skills for a future career in this industry.
The Work-Study Degree is offered to students in Nanyang Technological University, and this program consists of a series of three internships in between academic terms, giving candidates up to 46 weeks of work experience.
The Work-Study Diploma is a curated 2.5-year Diploma program offering full-time employment with a stable income for students in the Institute of Technical Education. Upon completion of this program, trainees receive a nationally recognized diploma certificate.
