SEN Teaching Assistant | Make Every Day Count | Bexhill Location: Bexhill, East SussexRole: SEN Teaching AssistantContract: Regular Bank Staff (Flexible Hours)Start Date: September 2026 Every child deserves someone who believes in them. A caring and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bexhill is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs. Working alongside experienced teachers and the school’s SEND team, you’ll support children with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays and social, emotional or communication needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and making a genuine difference in children’s lives. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs. Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning styles. Support communication, emotional regulation and confidence. Encourage independence both inside and outside the classroom. Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and external professionals. Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We’re Looking For Someone Who Has previous experience supporting children with SEND. Is patient, empathetic and resilient. Can build trusting relationships with pupils. Is confident following individual support plans. Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or SEMH is highly desirable. What You’ll Receive Regular work within a supportive mainstream primary school.
