Solicitor - Property Litigation & Family Law
Near Birmingham
Full-Time | Office-Based | £40,000-£45,000 + Benefits
 
I am working with a well-established and friendly law firm seeking a NQ+ Solicitor to join their close-knit team. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside two highly experienced lawyers, managing your own caseload while also supporting on a broad range of matters.
 
The Role
 
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload across both property litigation and family law, including (but not limited to):
 
Property Litigation
For commercial clients:
  • 1954 Act lease renewals (including opposed renewals)
  • Dilapidations claims
  • Rent arrears and breach of lease matters
  • Forfeiture and relief applications
For residential landlords:
  • Possession claims relating to rent arrears and tenancy breaches
For commercial and residential clients:
  • Party Wall Act disputes
  • Boundary disputes
  • Rights of way and easement disputes
For social landlords:
  • Non-routine possession claims
  • Anti-social behaviour cases
  • Defence of disrepair claims
  • General management advice
Family Law
  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy matters
  • Private children matters
  • Domestic abuse cases
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • TOLATA claims for unmarried couples
  • International divorce matters
The Candidate
  • Qualified Solicitor with some experience in litigation and family law
  • Comfortable managing a mixed caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Based locally or able to commute daily (office-based role)
