Our 12-month Year in Industry placements offer hands-on experience within one of the UK’s largest technical, facilities management and regeneration companies where you will play an active role in supporting our customers as they move towards a more sustainable, digital and net-zero future.

What you can expect
During your 12-month industrial placement, you will:
Gain hands-on experience in a live operational environment
Build your professional network across the business
Be supported through structured development, mentoring and regular check-ins
Work on real projects that add value from day one
Develop technical, commercial and professional skills
You’ll also have the opportunity to join our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network, helping you connect with peers across the organisation.
Support throughout your placement
We’re committed to helping you succeed and grow during your year with us. Throughout your Year in Industry placement, you will receive regular check ins with your manager, access to structured training and development sessions, mentoring support, and opportunities to work alongside industry experts across multiple disciplines. You will also be able to access our employee led networks - including the Young Professionals Network - as well as a range of wellbeing resources when you need them.
With a dedicated manager and mentor to guide you throughout, you will benefit from ongoing feedback and tailored support to help you develop and progress throughout your placement year.
Your placement carries real responsibility, and for those who perform well, it also provides an excellent opportunity to return to Equans through our Graduate Scheme after completing your university degree.
