About the Role

URGENT SENCO REQUIRED – Secondary SENCO – SEND Lead – North London – Immediate Start GSL Education are urgently recruiting for an experienced SENCO / SENDCO / Head of SEND / Inclusion Lead to join a well-established secondary school within in North London. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a qualified and strategic Special Educational Needs Coordinator who can take full ownership of SEND provision and drive inclusive practice across KS3–KS4. Location: North London – Camden Start: Immediate / ASAP Salary: Leadership Scale L7–L11 (Approx. £57,000 – £63,000 depending on experience) Key SENCO Responsibilities • Lead whole-school SEND strategy and inclusion framework • Act as the named SENCO / SENDCO in line with the SEND Code of Practice (2015) • Oversee and quality assure EHCP provision, annual reviews, and statutory compliance • Manage SEND register, provision mapping and data tracking • Line manage Deputy SENCO and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)  • Monitor progress of students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SpLD, SLCN and complex needs • Drive Quality First Teaching, adaptive teaching and differentiation strategies • Ensure Ofsted-ready SEND documentation and impact evidence Ideal Candidate Profile • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) • Proven experience as a Secondary SENCO / Inclusion Manager / SEND Lead • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and statutory frameworks • Experienced managing a high-volume EHCP caseload • Confident, strategic and inspection-ready
