Job Description
- Manage daily banking transactions and reconcile accounts accurately.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
- Process client and office account payments and receipts promptly.
- Maintain accurate financial records and produce reports as required.
- Handle VAT returns and assist with audits when necessary.
- Monitor and manage client account balances effectively.
- Support the team with general administrative tasks related to accounting and finance.
- Respond to financial queries from clients and colleagues in a timely manner.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Part Time Accounts Assistant should have:
- Experience working in a legal or professional services accounting environment.
- A strong understanding of Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
