Job Title Our client is seeking a GCP Cloud Security Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Terrace, Florida. Core Responsibilities Plan, implement, manage, and continuously improve security controls to protect organizational data, systems, and cloud infrastructure Design, build, and maintain security automation tools and frameworks that promote strong security hygiene across cloud environments Develop and maintain automated security and governance solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Python, Google Cloud SDKs, Unix Shell, and other scripting languages Own the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the GCP environment, including testing and adoption of new cloud services Implement and manage cloud security solutions with a strong focus on automation and scalability Drive remediation and mitigation efforts for risks identified through continuous monitoring and security assessment tools Integrate internal and external services via APIs across multiple programming platforms Collaborate with security, governance, cloud engineering, and development teams to implement secure cloud solutions across various business units Partner with enterprise teams to develop preventive security controls and automation frameworks Perform security administration tasks including monitoring, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communication Learn and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance the organization’s cloud security capabilities Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, security, or automation 5+ years of combined experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure 5+ years of Python development experience 5+ years building cloud automation solutions Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Unix Shell Hands-on experience with GCP SDK and CLI tools Experience with Linux and Windows system administration Knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices Experience with DevOps and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Confluence Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Functions and Azure Functions Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred) Demonstrate understanding of Cloud Platform technologies and their usage, specifically GCP and also preferably Azure and/or AWS Solid experience of cloud security, risk analysis and implementation of best practices Hands-on development using Python and APIs Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills Hands-on experience with GCP SCC or other CSPM tools Key Competencies & Behaviors Analytical Proactive Collaborative Work Environment Location: Temple Terrace, FL Hybrid Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $49.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
