Outdoor Teacher - Clitheroe

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an Outdoor Education Teacher to join a vibrant specialist school in the Clitheroe area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school is committed to delivering a dynamic and engaging curriculum through outdoor learning, helping pupils build confidence, resilience and practical life skills. With a strong focus on experiential education, the school uses outdoor environments to support both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging outdoor learning sessions and activities
• Supporting pupils to develop teamwork, resilience and confidence through hands‑on experiences
• Ensuring all outdoor activities are delivered safely and in line with risk assessments and safeguarding procedures

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent) or strong experience in outdoor education
• Proven experience working with children or young people in an outdoor or educational setting
• Strong knowledge of outdoor learning, risk management and behaviour support strategies
• Two education or school‑based references
