Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. This internship is a part of a 10-week full-time summer internship program opportunity. This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with the Guidance Navigation and Control team to support the development, testing, and implementation of GNC systems into Archer aircraft.
Engage actively in problem-solving efforts, offering innovative solutions and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
Research key engineering topics, analyze data, and present insights to inform project decisions
What You Need:
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to engineering, computer science or a related field at an accredited university, preferably a Senior or a graduate student
Course work in physics, flight dynamics, aerodynamics, optimization, feedback controls, and/or linear algebra
Strong academic performance in relevant coursework
Comfortable with MATLAB and/or Simulink
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment
