Overview
We are seeking an experienced Process Mapping Consultant to support the enhancement of risk assessment methodologies and operational processes. This role will focus on documenting workflows, identifying risks and controls, and driving process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Process Mapping & Analysis
- Collaborate with risk liaisons and subject-matter experts to gather and review policies, procedures, and existing documentation
- Conduct discovery sessions and process walkthroughs to understand current workflows
- Develop detailed process maps and workflows for complex business functions using standardized methodologies
- Evaluate existing process maps and identify gaps, risks, and control weaknesses
- Recommend improvements, including automation opportunities and operational efficiencies
Risk & Control Evaluation
- Assess critical business functions against industry best practices
- Identify gaps in risk coverage, control design, and process execution
- Provide actionable recommendations to strengthen risk management frameworks
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Develop a structured approach for transitioning process ownership to business teams (First Line)
- Create training materials and self-service guides for process mapping best practices
- Establish a cadence and governance model for maintaining and updating process documentation
Deliverables
- Comprehensive process maps for critical business functions
- Recommendations to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce risk exposure
- Training documentation and guidance materials for internal teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–5 years of experience in Risk Management, Securitization Operations, Financial Services, or related field
- Experience as a Process Analyst or similar role with a focus on workflow analysis and process mapping
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
