About the Role
Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: NICU Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 36 Summary: The NICU Milk Technician responsible for performing duties with the daily operating procedures of the NICU human milk bank, which includes processing enteral feeding orders, developing recipes according to physicians orders, preparing, and delivery. The technician ensures that products are compliant with current codes and are acceptable for use. Requisitions and inspects supplies, and materials in order to maintain inventory levels and to ensure that standards of quality are met. Education & Experience: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Some college hours required. 1-2 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated competence in mathematical skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills. Experience working with computers is preferred. Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow directions, work under pressure, readily adapt to change in routine and work assignments, and relate to caregivers, families, and inter- and intra- departmental staff. Certification/Licensure: Current BLS.
