About the Role
Position Summary The Commercial Business Banker develops, originates, and manages commercial lending relationships while providing exceptional service to current and prospective customers. This role identifies customer credit needs, structures lending solutions, manages portfolio quality, supports deposit growth, and promotes the Bank's products and services in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements. Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain commercial customer relationships through business development and ongoing account management. Originate, underwrite, structure, and manage commercial real estate and business loans within Bank policies and lending authority. Analyze financial information, collateral, and credit data to evaluate loan requests and prepare credit recommendations. Monitor assigned loan portfolio, including repayment performance, financial reporting, collateral, and credit quality. Cross-sell deposit accounts, treasury management, consumer loans, and other Bank products to strengthen customer relationships. Maintain accurate loan documentation and ensure compliance with Bank policies and applicable regulations, including BSA/AML requirements. Provide backup teller support as needed. Represent the Bank professionally in the community and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Three to five years of commercial lending or related banking experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Knowledge of commercial lending, credit analysis, loan documentation, portfolio management, and banking regulations. Strong business development, customer service, communication, analytical, and relationship management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Bank systems. Physical Requirements Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods. Ability to move throughout the office and travel occasionally to customer or community meetings. Ability to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment. Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
