About the Role
<p>Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting for a Legal Administrator on behalf of a highly regarded and well-established law firm based in Glasgow.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive legal team within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners, fee earners, and colleagues across the business, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department through high-quality administrative, secretarial, and operational support.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<p>Secretarial & Administrative Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the department, providing efficient assistance to fee earners across multiple offices</li>
<li>Professionally liaise with clients and manage calls and enquiries on behalf of team members when required</li>
<li>Coordinate and organise team meetings, training sessions, and CPD activities</li>
<li>Maintain departmental diaries, scheduling, and staff holiday records</li>
<li>Assist in the ongoing development of a paper lite environment, ensuring documentation is managed efficiently and appropriately</li>
</ul>
<p>Legal Administration</p>
<ul>
<li>Support file review processes to ensure matters are progressed accurately and within required timescales</li>
<li>Communicate with clients on a daily basis and respond to queries as directed by fee earners</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case documentation</li>
<li>Assist with the onboarding and induction of new staff, including fee earners, trainees, and support staff</li>
</ul>
<p>Billing & Reporting</p>
<ul>
<li>Support the monthly billing process, ensuring activities are completed accurately and within deadlines</li>
<li>Assist with reviewing outstanding balances, fees, and timesheet reports</li>
<li>Produce and maintain reports and spreadsheets relating to billing activity and fee earner workloads</li>
<li>Contribute to the review and improvement of departmental systems and procedures</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to enhance administrative efficiency and support process improvements across the team</li>
</ul>
<p>Knowledge, Skills & Experience</p>
<p>Essential</p>
<ul>
<li>Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and accurate administrative skills</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li>
<li>A professional, proactive, and client-focused approach</li>
<li>Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and reports</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel</li>
</ul>
<p>Desirable</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of legal terminology and legal administrative procedures</li>
<li>Familiarity with legal case management systems</li>
</ul>
