As a Azure Platform Engineer, you will:
- Design and build an infrastructure automation platform that consumes YAML/JSON descriptors and automates access, compliance, and infrastructure provisioning across enterprise platforms.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML scripting.
- Build reconciliation mechanisms to continuously detect and remediate configuration, access, and policy drift.
- Implement observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and related monitoring tools to provide compliance and infrastructure visibility.
- Integrate automation workflows with GitLab, JFrog, SonarQube, Kubernetes, and other platform APIs.
- Collaborate with platform engineering, security, and DevOps teams to enforce least-privilege access, RBAC, IAM, and compliance standards.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient automation following GitOps and Configuration-as-Code best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers while contributing through hands-on development and technical leadership.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Infrastructure Automation.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, YAML scripting, and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation workflows.
- Experience integrating with GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and Kubernetes APIs.
- Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, SSO, and compliance enforcement in cloud-native environments.
- Experience with observability platforms including Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and ELK.
- Knowledge of GitOps principles and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.
- Nice to have experience with OPA Gatekeeper, Kyverno, compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001), and drift detection/auto-remediation solutions.
You should possess the ability to:
- Build end-to-end infrastructure automation using Terraform, Helm, Python, and Kubernetes.
- Develop automation engines that translate YAML/JSON configurations into infrastructure actions.
- Create and maintain Grafana dashboards, alerts, and observability pipelines.
- Implement automated reconciliation loops for continuous compliance and drift remediation.
- Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes, Azure, and infrastructure automation issues.
- Design secure multi-tenant cloud environments with proper isolation and RBAC.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable platform solutions.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on cloud automation best practices.
