We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Northumberland, just outside Newcastle, looking for graduates to join as Cover Supervisors on a flexible, ad hoc basis.
It’s a great way to get a feel for school life, build your confidence, and see if teaching is the right path, without the full pressure of leading your own class (just yet).
Even better, you won’t be thrown in at the deep end. You’ll spend a day shadowing an experienced Cover Supervisor first, so you can see how it all works before stepping up yourself.
Think of yourself as the calm, confident presence in the room when a teacher’s away.
No planning. No marking. Just strong communication, organisation, and a bit of confidence.
If you’re considering teacher training, educational psychology, youth work, or anything involving young people, this role gives you the kind of hands-on experience universities love to see.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
