Wrexham - ATM - Assessment and Intervention Team

Wrexham County Brough Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join their Assessment and Intervention Team.

Location :-31 Chester Street, Wrexham Principal Area, LL13 8BG

Payrate :-£42.00 Per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a pod of Social Workers delivering Section 47 enquiries, assessments, and intervention services for children and families.
• Oversee work with families requiring statutory support to ensure children's needs are met and safeguarded.
• Lead and coordinate court processes and Public Law Outline (PLO)
• Provide day-to-day supervision and professional guidance to Social Workers within the pod.
• Take responsibility for a duty pod every three weeks, working office-based during the duty week.
• Offer management support to other duty pods during their duty weeks when required.
• Provide cover and leadership support when the Team Manager is on annual leave.
• Ensure high standards of practice, decision-making, and service delivery across the team.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
• Social Work England Registration
• Driving license and access to own vehicle
