About the Role
Position Overview The Stockroom Team Member is responsible for the stocking components and the issuance of components to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner. Quick Summary The person in this role will work in the SAP system to perform transactions for the movement and storage of material to be used for production. Accuracy of the information input is critical as it is used to update the stock inventory for availability to the production floor and MRP. It is a given that this individual will always strive for improved processes as recommendations for improvements to processes are always desired. Basic Background Requirements This position will require: Interpersonal Skills – detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in their work, self- motivated, team player Technical Skills – SAP navigation and use of transactions to perform the job, understanding of MRP concepts, investigative and problem solving skills, understanding of ESD handling requirements Communication Skills – excellent listening skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills Leadership Skills – ability to adapt to change, ability to organize and prioritize, and decision making when applicable Key Performance Objectives Short Term: (0 to 6 months) Learn the various processes required for the position, including SAP training Develop ability to move, pick and put away product in the stockroom Develop a good rapport with fellow workers and internal customers Work with Production to resolve any replenishment order issues Midterm: (6 to 18 months) Find new locations to eliminate overflow and move parts within the stockroom Assist with improvement initiatives Assist with improving department metrics Ensure inventory accuracy during all transactions Kimball Electronics is a leading contract manufacturer of durable goods electronics serving a variety of industries on a global scale.
