About the Role

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Supervisor to manage a team of operatives effectively to deliver highways maintenance services. This includes but scheduled and reactive maintenance to modular and tarmac footways and carriageways, street furniture, street lighting, drainage and winter maintenance. The work will be in the South East Region, in and around the M25, M4. As a Highways Maintenance Supervisor you will be required to: Supervise teams to achieve challenging performance targets Plan, schedule and prioritise activity to avoid performance target failures Manage performance, productivity, training and attendance of team Accurately enter profit and loss control information on to company systems when trained Manage fleet for team including circa 20 vehicles ranging from car derived vans to HGVs Have responsibility for safety within team and at works sites You will have: Previous experience in a similar role Sufficient Supervisor experience working in the Highways, Street lighting or Drainage industry Contract and Project knowledge and experience Knowledge and demonstrable experience of highways maintenance activities Full, clean UK driving licence – HGV would be an advantage NRSWA / Supervisor qualifications City and Guilds Winter Service CSCS card Street lighting qualifications would be advantageous General IT literacy – ability to use Microsoft products and internal systems once trained Strong motivational and leader qualities Commitment to safety and to producing good quality work within budget and time scales
